It is a nice hostel, with excellent staff and gr8 location, however the showers didnt give warm water on the second floor, the laundry was out of order to the guests and even though there were signs up, no pots were ever washed. And no lockers in the rooms, bit worrying would reccomend but it is a bit steep in price for the facilities on offer emma, from England ~ 19th Nov 2012

Rented a private double room, not to cheap actually. Felt like we ended up in prison. The room was like a storage room for other beds and matrasses, it looked pretty much like a prison cell. And the staff just came in to the room without knocking on the door, unproffesional. We was supposed to stay for 5 nights, after 2 nights we went to Coogee Bay hotel. Much better! Double the price, but worth every penny in comparisment. (REAL private room, breakfast, wifi, clean, nice staff 119$) Stian, from Norway ~ 11th Jul 2012

Cogee Beach Backpackers hostel is located directly at the coogie beach, just over the street. Very scenic view from the reception and the rooms towards the sea direction. I would recommend this hostel, if you are not too interessed in a very central accomodation in sydney inner city district. Trip from sydney central station to cogee beach takes about 20 minutes with the bus. Dieter, from Germany ~ 24th Jun 2012
