Best hostel experience! I had a really good time. Everyone was super friendly and the rooms were very clean. The area was near union square and near main areas. Good way to meet other travelers. Overall a fantastic experience!! Natalie, from USA ~ 8th May 2013

This was my first time staying in a hostel and traveling alone. I didn't know what to expect especially because everyone was so afraid of the Tenderloin. Thankfully, the Tenderloin was not nearly as scary as everyone made it sound. In fact, I walked alone many nights and was totally fine. My experience at USA Hostels was PERFECT. The rooms were clean, there were free events and booze almost every night and the staff was friendly and helpful. When I return back to SF I would stay there again!! Stephen, from USA ~ 3rd May 2013

I had higher expectation but my experience wasn't as good. Location, atmosphere, cleanliness and facilities, all are average. Nothing special, and actually it's quite far from the BART station. Good location, very clean and friendly staff. They are doing some renovations at the moment (April 2013) but it's not too noisy. No hidden fees, just a 10 Dollar deposit for the key, you"ll get it back at the end of your stay. I would definitely come back and recommend. Sophia, from Germany ~ 2nd Apr 2013
