What a relief our staying in Yamen hostel was after passing some huge and overcrowded cities. We booked a double private room, and the bed could host 6 people if needed :-) It is a huge stone platform with a (thin) mattress on top. The bathroom is small (only toilet and shower) but acceptable. Breakfast is very good and cheap, Western or Chinese, about 18 RMB, so a bit more than € 2. Nice staff, Quiet Town. Not much tourist in hostel though not much tourist in pingyao at all. pretty clean, old fashioned rooms with hot showers and electricity and air con. The food is pretty bad to say the truth, if you seek place to eat dont eat there ! Yonatan, from Israel ~ 27th Jun 2012
