It can be noisy at night when people walk (talk and laughing) around the landing - most probably because they were drunk from the bar upstairs in the hostel. I like the toilet and shower because they had fans on the ceiling to ensure dry floor all the time. By Malaysian standard, the breakfast was \"ok\" (because no local food in a Malaysian hostel as option) but my british friend said it was great. The breakfast consisted of 2 slices of thick white bread, coffee/tea, jam, butter and fruits. The location is 2 minutes to the waterfront... very good location. The thing that I do not like about the hostel is they do not have enough shoe racks or storage. They expect people to take off their shoes in the premises but the shoes were left near the staircases and it smelled awful (imagine more than 20 pairs of smelly shoes and slipper greeting near the main entrance/reception)... what a first impression!

It didn't feel like i was staying at a hostel, it felt more like i was home from home. I will be telling all mt friends about it.

The reception staff were pleasant but not very helpful. Despite a notice on the bar saying otherwise we were told we could not have breakfast 15 mins early. After staying three nights in an 80RM room and spending money in the bar etc.. we were charged 2Rm to use a towel - didn't make us feel like valued guests!!

great stay here right in the centre of town with great room decorations, books to borrow, cheap interent and a rooftop bar with cheap beer (5RM). staff are friendly and will show you a good time. they provide lots of information on the bilboards about tours, etc. would highly recommend.
