I stayed here only 1 night & though it was a bit off the track it was a lovely place to stay. Fantastic decor to cover up the size of the place. We where the only ones in the place & the staff where fab. going out of there way to help us. I would stay here again if I went to Guilin again. My son was extremely happy & didnt want to leave....I wonder was that to do with having a DVD player to watch!! though be warned it would not be for everyone as the shower & squater for toilet( still can't get used to it) are combined

This place is in the middle of nowhere. They say theres a bus in to town, but its a midget driven tractor bike to the end of the road. Then you have to get a taxi. It was dirty, and we booked a room, but when we got there they had none, we had to stay in the staff room. The guy that ran it was very friendly, but then I suppose he had to be. We left after one night and went to Flowers (really good) Give pony a miss, its pony.

we couldnt find this place. no one we spoke to had heard of it either. not guilin natives or people at other hostels. even if you do find it its located in a pretty out of the way part of town. the phone cumber listed didnt contact them. we tried to contact them by email and asked them to call us and they never did. they did call the next day once i had returned from vacation and spent hours searching for another place to stay. i would not recommend this place at all.

Very hard to find, only 3 rooms - but really nice and familial, nice stuff. You should choice this accomodation if you would like to get an adventurous insight into chinese life.
Pony Hostel was very cute and Jared was very very helpful. Its location is a little hard to find, but Jared is very good and helped us several times explaining to the driver where he needed to go. I would reccommend this hostel if you want to experience authentic Guilin.
