Owner is a real character. Accomodation in a typical Chinese apartment block.Top floor - no lift (but he helps you with your luggage). Clean & spacious. Rooms have fans; living room has a/c. He & son are v helpful & kind. Communication is via an online translator. Very amusing! Very much enjoyed my stay there. Beds very hard when we arrived. Next day, he bought 2 mattresses! Listens to customers' needs. Lovely chap. Y15 cab from train station, but its good to see how the real people live!

the guys don't speak English at all, comunication without knowledge of Chinese - impossible, however they're eager to help,it's not a hostel it's a house with 2 rooms to rent, very far away from the center;almost 1 hour by bus

The owner doesn't speak much English but is really friendly and helpful, as is his son, and they made us feel really at home. Make sure you get the railway station pick up or else you'll never find the place. It's in the suburbs, but close to a bus stop where you can get buses to the train station, Longmen Caves etc. There's a great food street nearby too. Definitely recommend this guesthouse.

It\'s a bit far from the train station. Further more its much fun because of the local customs you will see here. The owner is very helpfull and can do much for you.

Even though the location is a bit far from the train station and that it's in an ordinary apartment (6 story walkup), we had a great time staying there. The owner is very helpful and helped us arrange our Shaolin trip. You will see how life is in an ordinary Chinese community. Amenities are a bit raw but clean and include a seater toilet. Bottom line is that if you are looking for some folklore than this is a great place to stay on a budget.
