A real bargain, about half an hour walk from the Forbidden City. Slap bang in the middle of one of the traditional hutongs means you get to see a side of Beijing that lots of tourists don't. It's all so reasonably priced for a hotel that gives you very clean, ensuite rooms, cheap intenet access and a karaoke bar to enjoy in the evenings!

The door man was very friendly and extremely helpfull. The driver for the rented van (Mr Chen) was equally very friendly, very polite and very knowledgable about the history and culture of China. The hotel bathroom however, needs improvement.

Overall, it was a good visit but we had no idea we had to put in an extra deposit when we checked in. If they could advertise it, it would be much better.

This small hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the forbiden city and very clean and well run. The staff are very helpful and try to do their best even with limited English, dont be put off with the fact that the hotel is down a narrow hutong, ENJOY!
