The student residence is about a 10min walk from the main street Gran Via. It is not very close to Granada's nightlife (15-20 min walk). I would recommend it to people who have a connection with the university but not to people who are general tourists in the city.

It's a very nice place. It's a university campus that works as a hotel in summer. The rooms are very neat, clean and very comfortable (used by students during the year I suppose). The only problem was that it was kind of far from the centre and from 10pm till the morning you didn't have other transport than taxi (that it's not so expensive but may be not so easy to get one). Besides that, in spite of staying in high season the place was almost empty, and it's a very big place so it wasn't much a funny place to stay and meet people. We didn't see other tourists there! If you just want a place to stay, clean, comfortable, and don't want to go out late at night or go around walking it is excellent and so the staff. ------------------ El lugar esta bueno. Es un campus universitario (o algo por el estilo) que lo usan como hotel en verano. Los cuartos son muy limpios y prolijos (como para que vivan estudiantes todo un año supongo). El problema es que queda lejos del centro y tenes que moverte en omnibus, y si queres salir de noche no hay omnibus desde las 22 a las 8 o 9 de la mañana, solo taxi, que quizas no es tan caro pero no siempre es facil conseguir uno. Ademas de eso, y a pesar de ser alta temporada, el lugar estaba muy vacio, por lo tanto no conocimos a nadie ni era un lugar muy divertido. No vimos otros turistas en el lugar! Si lo que buscas es un lugar tranquilo, limpio, comodo y no queres salir de noche o moverte a pie el lugar es excelente y la atencion tambien.

Nice, clean dorm-style room with its own bathroom. Verrry far from the sights and the nightlife -- take the 8 bus or whatever is available or you´ll end up with blisters from all the uphill walking. No people around while I was there, either -- you might have to make some real efforts to meet anyone.
