The staff were very helpful and went out of there way to make you feel at home.I did not stay here as i took the cruise the same day i arrived.i loved the hostel site the building was an ancient chinese wooden structure and overlooked the Yellow/Yangtze river. The toilets were clean.

Very helpful staff. Would be good if they explained that the Yangtze river cruise they sell has no English speakers aboard. The room was nice with a view of the river, but the beds are VERY hard. Overall, good place to stay, near the main area, free internet, food and drinks available there.

Friendly staff, great character, and excellent location. Three Gorges is like some of the other best hostels in China -- this one makes an all-around effort to help the traveler. Like other people have said, Three Gorges is by the road so it's noisy, but you don't even notice it. Amenities are great -- free internet, wifi, and free laundry. And, it's in an underrated city, making it even better. Definitely recommended.
