It gets really hot in the rooms and if your room is facing the street there are loud dance clubs that keep you up all night. If you want rest, not the place to stay.

This hostel was fantastic. It's pretty much in the center of anything you'd want to see in Palermo. The staff was very helpful. All of them speak English (among other languages), and they hold periodic BBQs, which was great for meeting fellow hostellers and some locals. The room was Spartan, and a window must be left open to prevent the heat from becoming stifling. The bathrooms and showers were cleaned regularly, and the building was fine.
