We are a family (three girls of 14,20,22 years and a boy (16)and the parents) We reserved a room for six persons, but we got two rooms 201 and 216. For us a scandal! Room 201 was an ugly room with bad smell. We were astonished that a room like this will be reserved for tourists! The window to the backyard could`nt closed correctly. It would be possibly to get from another room in 201 trough the window. As father I couldn`t take the responsability for this room. So we dislocated with two beds in room 216 (six persons in room for three person). For the second night we got 214. So it was good. But in 214 and 216 the doors to the balcony couldn`t be closed correctly. The security was bad. Fortunately a kindly man from Ireland (belonging to the stuff) was in 215. So we mustn`t be afraid that somebody come in the night via balcony to 214 or 216. The situation of the hotel in the central of the city was excellent, but the security non sufficient. The turist must have the right to close the doors to the balcony. We were be glad if the first night where we "had" to sleep would be payed back to us. Although for the breakfast orange jus had to be served. Please inform the police for tourists in Madrid and check the rooms 214, 215 and 216 of its security concerning the doors to the balcony. Many thanks. We hope that the first nght would be repayed.

Pretty standard hostel. Rooms were warm at night and the showers coldish in the mornings. Rooms were clean and spacious though. Good place to stay

it was great exprience from there. great location and what a perfect service !! i´ve never seen that service. free internet and cheap laundry etc... Amazing!!

although my room (224)had a poor view and no air conditionin under July sun, the hostel was very clean and safe in naddition to the friendly staff! I'd recommend here definetely!
Excellent location and vibe but very busy street and flashing lights next to hostel made it difficult to sleep at night
