Old student building. Spacious rooms, but small beds (no double beds, only single) Guys at reception are really nice, although you need to fill out a lot of forms before you can enter your room. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Definitely good value!

Clean, spacious rooms, excellent location across the street from Tate Modern, a medium walk to nearest metro stations. Immediate area is relatively quiet at night, but everything of interest is not far. Very generous, quality breakfast.

My stay at Bankside was a short one but very enjoyable. I consider it to be excellent value for money given the location.

--got an ensuite room and intially the toilet didn't flush. didn't realize this until late at night, and called the front desk-- they told us to use the lobby bathroom for the night. after some complaining they finally came and fixed it. --lumpy beds but fine --fairly close to Blackfriar's Train and Tube Stn. Hotel clerk looked up train times for us for early sunday morning to get to Gatwick airport, but when we got there, the station was CLOSED-- the information she gave us was wrong. this forced us to pay more $$ for a taxi to another station and caused some stress. --breakfast was quite good-- they really give you a lot of food and feed you well for the day!!!!! Enjoyed it --Easy to find, close to the modern art gallery which is enjoyable too!
