Really nice peaceful place with decent transfer links to tokyo (about 10 mins to Shinagawa). Mosquito's may be a problem during summer months due to pond's/plant life.

Really beautiful place. All the main facilities (lobby, tv etc.) were surrounding a garden area that gave it a really unique feel.

The facilities were good, and the room very clean and comfortable. The communal area lacked character.
The is a Japanese styled inn with a cute little garden. We stayed here for 2 nights. The inn is located in the suburbs of Tokyo. We had to take a local train line (120yen) to connect to the Tokyo metro line. The room we had was a Japanese styled tatami room with ensuite bath. The room was small but very clean. There is a smell of stale smoke in the air though that was kind of annoying. Overall, a good price for ryokan if you don't mind that it's a little bit out of the way.
We enjoyed staying at Kangetsu, it's just very far from the center. Even though we arrived much too early we received our room immediately. No breakfast. Thanx.
