Amsterdam Hostel Janson is located on Museum Square, close to the I AMsterdam sign.

Our hostel is newly renovated and decorated and features excellent facilities.

We’re located in a safe, quiet area of central Amsterdam, but still within walking distance to many attractions. This area has excellent connections to the airport (bus 197), Amstel station for Eurolines buses (tram 12) and Centraal Station (tram 5); these all depart from in front of our door. Attractions within walking distance include Anne Frank House, the Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum, the Modern Art Museum, Vondelpark, the History Museum, Dam Square and more. There’s also a supermarket nearby.

We offer many free amenities, including free breakfast, free Internet and Wi-Fi, free bed linen, free city maps and free walking tours.

Our staff will be more than happy to provide all information about Amsterdam and all around the Netherlands. We have 24hr check-in and there’s no curfew so you can come and go as you please.

If you will be late for your expected arrival time please contact us to let us know. We have a 72hr cancellation policy. Cancellations can only be made via email. Please note that our rates do not include the 5% city tax. Please include this in your budget. Group booking conditions: Group of 4 or more persons are subject to a two-week cancellation policy. No-shows shall be charged for 100% of their total booking. Cancellations and changes made on or after the arrival date shall also be charged 100% of their total booking. Special events booking conditions (Easter, Queens Day, New Years Period and the IBC event (September)): During special events there is a two-week cancellation policy. This is 14 days before the arrival date (not the arrival time). No-shows shall be charged for 100% of their total booking. Cancellations and changes made on or after the arrival date shall also be charged 100% of their total booking. Payment is due upon arrival by cash only, please. We will seek pre-authorisation on the given credit card (not a charge); unfortunately we will not keep the reservation if we cannot get authorisation. You will be contacted by our hostel to ask the security code of your credit card. When a booking is made by a person(s) from outside the Europe Union (for a stay of three nights or more) and a visa is required for the embassy, and the booking is used to obtain a visa, the whole booking will be charged to your card. We will need a CVC (security code at the back of your credit card). This is to guarantee your booking that you will be staying with us. You will be contacted by the hostel for information. This type of booking cannot be cancelled under any circumstances!!
