Grund Hostel operates in a recently renovated ancient monument building, where the site includes a unique wooden playground, and a lively bar.

As our guest you\'ll be accommodated in one of our 4/5/6/7 bed mixed dorm, or if you wish in the double bed private ensuite. We have our bar, which functionates as a lounge daytime and at night it is hosting the coolest parties in town.

Nevertheless 24/7 / security guard is at your service. Reception opening time: from 7am till 4am.

Directions to our Hostel:

Grund Hostel Budapest is easy to access from the airport and from the three main railway stations.

Train

1. Nyugati pályaudvar (Nyugati Railway Station)
If you arrive at Nyugati pályaudvar, get on tram 4 or 6 and go seven stops towards Boráros tér.Get off at Ferenc körút. From here a three minute walk will take you to our hostel. Come up from the undercrossing at "Üllői út páros oldal", and stay on your left. Walk until you reach the 4th street that is Nagytemplom Street. Take a left turn and another 50 m walk will take you to the entrance of Grund Hostel. It is right behind and old single-storied building.
Travel fare: you need to buy one full-fare ticket which costs 290 HUF (1.0 EUR).
Travel time: 20 minutes.

2. Keleti pályaudvar (Keleti Railway Station)
Option 1:
Take metro 2 (M2, red line) and go to Blaha Lujza square. Change for tram No 4 or 6. Go three stops and get off at Ferenc körút.
From here a three minute walk will take you to our hostel. Come up from the undercrossing at "Üllői út páros oldal", and stay on your left. Walk until you reach the 4th street that is Nagytemplom Street. Take a left turn and another 50 m walk will take you to the entrance of Grund Hostel. It is right behind an old single-storied building.

Travel fare: you need to buy one section ticket for the metro and one full-fare ticket for the tram for altogether 530 HUF (1.7 EUR).

3. Déli pályaudvar (Déli Railway Station)
Option 1:
- Take M2 to Deak square. Then change for M3 and go three stops towards the direction of Köbánya Kispest. Get off at Ferenc Körút.
From here a three minute walk will take you to our hostel. Come up from the undercrossing at "Üllői út páros oldal", and stay on your left. Walk until you reach the 4th street that is Nagytemplom Street. Take a left turn and another 50 m walk will take you to the entrance of Grund Hostel. It is right behind and old single-storied building.

Travel fare: you need to buy a single ticket for 290 HUF (1.0 EUR).
Duration of journey to the hostel: 20-25 minutes

Airport:

Ferihegyi repülőtér (Ferihegy Airport - Terminal 1 and 2):
Option 1: public transportation:
- Take the bus no 200 in front of the the airport gate and get off at the terminal at Kõbánya-Kispest.
- Take M3 towards direction Újpest-Központ and get off at Ferenc körút. From here a three minute walk will take you to our hostel. Come up from the undercrossing at "Üllői út páros oldal", and stay on your left. Walk until you reach the 4th street that is Nagytemplom street. Take a left turn and another 50 m walk will take you to the entrance of Grund Hostel. It is right behind and old single-storied building.
Travel fare: you need to buy a single ticket (at the driver's) for 290 HUF (1.0 EUR) and a single ticket at Kőbánya-Kispest for 290 HUF (1.0 EUR).
Important notice: make sure to you buy your ticket either from a machine or on the bus before you board. If you buy your ticket when boarding the bus, try to have some change in advance because the driver may not be able to refund you.

Option 2: Taxi
Taxi companies have fix rates: transfer from both Terminal 1 and 2 to the hostel is 22 euro. Our adress is Nagytemplom utca (street) 32.

Option 3: Airport Shuttle Bus
Once you have arrived to the airport lobby, look for 'Airport Minibus' signs. Sign up for the traveller list. You need to pay 8 euros per person at the customer desk.

Coach

Népligeti Nemzetközi Buszállomás (Népliget International Coach Station)
International coaches arrive at Népliget Buszállomás. Take M3 and go to Ferenc körút towards direction Újpest-Központ.
