This new hostel complex has been created in what was once an Augustinian friary, dating from between the 12th and 13th centuries.
It is situated in the heart of the old town of Levanto, a pleasant resort on the Ligurian coast, at about 100 meter from the see and 15 minutes from the railway station.
There are 70 beds in the complex, the bedrooms are having 2/4/6/9 beds in each.. Two rooms are suitable for disabled and all have adjoining bathrooms.
�Ospitalia del mare� is an ideal place for people who are looking for an unforgettable holiday in Levanto. It is the starting point for the most important footpaths which will bring you in the Cinque Terre�s National Park. By train you are in only five minutes time at the first village of the Cinque terre

I had a great stay at this hostel. It is close to the beach and about a 15 minute walk to the train station. Plenty of places to eat nearby. I missed my connecting to train to levanto and therefore didn't arrive until midnight, but the staff member on reception waited for me to arrive even though reception closes at 11pm... Saved me a night sleeping at the train station which I appreciated very much! My only recommendation would be to allow wifi in the dorm rooms. Brent, from Australia ~ 10th Oct 2012
