Youth Shack is Darwin\'s, funkiest & friendliest hostel. Your home away from home in Darwin. We are located in the centre of the Mitchell St entertainment district. We have all the usual facilities of small & large dorms, private rooms with and without ensuite, fab pool, poolside BAR, sundeck, pool table, outside kitchen area and full travel desk. When staying 3 nights or more we will refund the arrival part of your airport shuttle. You also receive free lanyard and re-usable bag on check in. Then there\'s our staff, not only are they the best looking and friendliest in Darwin but they know stuff. Lots of stuff! Ask them about tours all over Australia and Internationally. They rock and they wont mind telling you!!
They also offer a FREE weekly BBQ to all guests with plenty of fun and games in the Pool!!

The place was filled with partying people and there was loud music until early in the morning. There was even loud music coming from speakers in the halls of the hostel. The facilities weren\'t any good: it was the worst bed we ever slept in (you can\'t even call that a mattress) and there was no warm water to take a shower. There was a bad smell all over the hostel. When you want to check out outside office hours, you have to call the night guard which is pretty expensive whith a \"foreign phon
Thank you for feedback it is appreciated. We do like to call our selves a fun hostel and often provide live entertainment and DJ's which comes at a cost to the hostel. We insure all music is turned off at 10pm all over the hostel. Unfortunately having 300 beds in the hostel there sometimes is one that needs replacing this of course needs to be bought to receptions attention to fix the problem.
