Kakapo Lodge YHA is central located, only a 2 minute walk form the famous Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools & Spa.
Relaxing inside the hostel is easy during winter with a Log Fire and Under-floor Heating as well as extra blaankets on request. Cook up a storm in our large Communal Kitchen and Dining room.
Enjoy your time outside up on the sunny decks or down in the peacful Garden and BBq area, with lots of mountain views from all angles.
We have a range of DVD,s for hire which can be watched upstairs in the lounge. Or you can grab a book from our book exchange to read during your stay.
Downstairs are the computer terminals which offer internet as well as aplace to upload all of your holiday snaps. WiFi is availble throughout the hostel.
