The hostel have rooms with and without air conditioner, pay attention to that if you can't take a sleep at warm temperatures at night. It says "Ponta Verde" in the name, but the closest beach is Pajucara which is just as good as the other. You can reach Praia do Frances beach by regular bus, just ask the clerk. About the other trips, they can be scheduled and a van will pick you at the hostel, there's always other guests going. They really need to do something about the bathrooms though.
