The Spice House in Mirissa, Sri Lanka

We are a Family run guesthouse and like our guests to feel more like they are staying in our home than in a faceless hotel.We have 5 upstairs bedrooms all with traditional wooden furniture and 4 poster beds & either sea or garden views.

They are all en-suite with modern stylish,spotless bathrooms.Downstairs there is a open-sided breakfast room,tv lounge and a large verandah wraps itself around the house giving views of the back garden & the surrounding jungle.We have our own private swimming pool in the landscaped back garden which is built on a series of terraces to accommodate our vegetable,fruit & spice garden.The front of the property is shaded by cinnamon trees and is dotted with swaying coconut palms.We also have mango,papaya, cashew, banana & scented frangipani trees.The sea is only 1 minute walk away where you will find a truly beautiful bay which is protected by a reef for year round,safe,calm swimming.

We can offer guests free use of canoes & kayaks on the sea or to a nearby lake,snorkelling gear, table tennis,table football,free internet access, Ayurvadic treaments & massage,
