iTC Backpacker in Chinese is 愛台中民宿， because i=love, TC=Taichung!! ^^
iTC is a new hostel and swanky cafe with a clean and comfortable place. We are located in central Taichung near the National Museum of Natural Science, shopping centers, bars, restaurants and the famous Green Parkway. You can catch The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts in an easy bus ride away.
There are bus stops very close by, about 3 minutes walking distance from the hostel, you can get many buses to Fengjia night market, Jade weekend market, Donghai University and Art Street quickly and easily. It doesn't matter if you are interested in culture, shopping or night life, there is something for everyone.
iTC Backpacker is a small, cozy hostel. We have a 6-bed male (or mix) dorm, 4-bed female (or mix) dorm, and a 2-bed private room. Each of the rooms has air conditioning; electric fans, lockers, towels, hair dryers and kettles, and all bathrooms have free shower gel and shampoo. We note that you need soft mattress, enough hot water, and more covers because of your height! It is equipped with high speed and free Wifi throughout the entire building.
We have a living room and a cafe on the first floor. So we offer all hostel guests a free buffet breakfast. In cafe also has a TV with local/foreign cable channels, travel advice, maps, job assistance, language exchange and excellent and helpful English and Chinese speaking staffs.
The cafe opens at 2:00pm also has delicious and reasonable priced food and beverages. We have many scheduled events, fortune tellers on Wednesday afternoon, international date night on Friday night, a book club on Saturday afternoon, and costume parties during holiday celebrations.
There is no curfew, but please note that check-in is from 3pm to 5pm. If you want to change your check-in time PLEASE call us at least the day before you arrive. If you do not arrive within 2 hours of the check-in time we will assume you are not coming and we will cancel your booking!
