Welcome to our Uppsala Vandrarhem / Kvarntorget!
Location:
We are located a 10 minute walk from the city centre in which you will find the largest Cathedral in northern Europe dating back to the 13th century and our Castle from the 16th century. Uppsala is a tranquil daytime alternative to the Capital Stockholm, with a delightful river-cut centre, and an active student-geared nightlife.
The hostel is located at walking distance from the bus- and railway station, from which you can reach Stockholm Arlanda international airport in 18 minutes and Stockholm in 40 minutes. The hostel is also easy to reach by car and there are parking lots right outside the hostel.
Our rooms
In the hostel we have single rooms, twin rooms, family rooms and dormitories. In some of the rooms you can add an extra bed. There are separate dormitories for men and for women, with 4 - 8 beds in each. Some rooms have a private wc/shower, otherwise access to common wc/showers in the corridor. Some rooms have windows facing Kvarntorget and a peaceful parking lot, some rooms have windos facing the interior atrium and a few rooms have no window at all. All private rooms are equipped with a tv and you can access our wireless internet free of charge in the entire building. Bed linen and final cleaning (on the day of departure) is always included in the price.
Breakfast
A breakfast buffet is served every morning in our atrium. Price: 69 SEK.

The reception is open:
Mon - Fri: 7-11 am and 4-9 pm
Sat - Sun: 8-11 am and 4-9 pm
For check in after 9 o'cock pm, please contact us 1-2 days before arrival,

Directions From the Railway Station / Bus Station
(including airport train and bus):
Walk across the railway tracks and then towards the Concert- and Congress Hall. Take a right on Vaksalagatan and continue about 300 meters. Then go left on Torkelsgatan and continue about 100 meters. Uppsala Vandrarhem (hostel) is located on your right hand side. Our address is Kvarntorget 3.

The Kvarntorget hostel is a nice and quiet place. It\'s about 10-20 minute walking to get to the main attractions in town. The staff is friendly and helpful, but the reception closes at night and (strangely) also several hours during the day. Even when the hostel is fully booked it does not make a crowded impression, it\'s still pretty quiet actually. If you want a quiet place to relax after a busy day, this is it if you prefer a busy hostel in order to meet new people, go somewhere else. David, from Netherlands ~ 14th Sep 2012
