Zero Baggage
Posted in Other Travel Posts | 2 Comments

She calls it Zero Baggage and it sounds great. After its launch next year in backpacking heaven Australia, travellers will be able to hire holiday wear when they're out there rather than spend hours packing and dragging cumbersome suitcases around and about to every hostel that's off the beaten track. Absolute brilliance! You book your clothes - either new or used - on the web and then when you get to your hostel, hey presto! Your wardrobe is already there waiting for you.
And Ms MacIntosh - who thinks that "life is a designed and artful experience, connecting humanity" - is right about another thing as well. She says that, aside from her new service being better for backpackers who just aren't that in to packing, it's more energy-efficient as well and thus better for the environment. She also points out that now backpackers won't have to spend hours queuing up to retrieve their luggage at the airport. They can just head to the Aussie beach straightaway. Delicious!
