I have been on the road for a while now. And one place where I stayed has stuck in my mind. The place is called Castello's Tourist Nest and is situated in Benaulim Goa. It has 9 double rooms with their own private bathrooms and balconies facing the coconut gardens for Rs150 a night. Most people like me come back year after year to the calm and peaceful surroundings. This is what most people would like after long hassles travelling on planes and trains.

The guy who runs it is called Felix and is known as Basil Fawlty thanks to his British sense of humour and the funny manner in which he tells his tales. He even picks you up on arrival in Goa at the Madgaon Goa railway station and buys your train tickets when you want to leave Goa and Benaulim.

I bet you would like the place if you are in India or going to India and Goa. Try Benaulim beach, full of white sands and cheap fish and chips restaurants serving Indian cuisine. Do not forget to say hello to Castello's Tourist Nest.

Happy travels.

Tania.
