As a previous reviewer said, you are required to leave the keys at the front desk, and all that you have to do to get the key from them is to tell them the room number. this is VERY unsafe. Very close to Venice St. Lucia station and I was impressed with the nice compact and clean rooms.The only thing that ticked me off was that the staff kept us waiting for quite a while at the reception, being v slow in responding.But good place to stay in, definitely Chandrasekhar, from India ~ 14th Sep 2011

This was a great hotel. It came with towels, and linen.The AC worked perfectly.Ask for a room that faces the back of the building or else you'll get one that faces the San Geremia Piazza and it could be loud until 1 or 2 am.There are no elevators and the hotel has four levels, so you must do some climbing. The location isunbeatable for the price.The staff were friendly and they spoke fluent English. We stayed in a 4-bed female dorm, which was nice and really clean. The location is excellent! The only problem was that we had just one key for the whole dorm. So when someone came back late he had to wake up esomeone else to open the door. Vera, from Germany ~ 2nd Sep 2011

We stayed in a 2-twin-bed "private" room.Though we had our own bathroom, we had to leave our bedroom to get to it.The front desk asked us to leave the key with them when we leave, but we did not heed their request because of safety concerns and there was no issue.Clean towels every day.Very glad it was close to the train station - suitcases in Venice are not fun.Free Wifi in the lobby and outdoor cafe area.Pretty decent place.You are in Venice, so there is nothing to complain about anyway! The room was small for 5 people but it was very clean when we arrived. We had to check in and leave our luggage with the reception at a neighboring hotel because ours was closed, but the staff there was nice. The luggage room was a mess by the check-in time with hundreds of bags cluttering the room! If you want to keep anything secure, leave it at the front desk.
