enjoyed it, brilliant location, lovely staff.the room was a bit crap though, other peoples pubes on the pillows was a tad rank...but the shower totally redeemed the whole get up. personally, i'd recommend it

Nice place to stay. I heard someone complaining about bedbugs on the first floor, but we were fine in our room. Staff were ultra friendly and had good advice for the city, like which streets not to walk on at night!

So the amsterdam hostel is in a nice part of san francisco excellent central location. the rooms were horrible but the rooms dont make or break a vacation for me. My only complain is the beds and toilette. The beds were disgusting filled with pubic hair and and bed bugs. The toilette was always clogged. Other than that stay here if u want a cheap room.

it's in the town center. walking distance from BART powell station and that little red curly road (lombard street). you will also get a free breakfast made of waffles.
