At Sveva Bed and Breakfast in Catania, Italy

I liked the view from our balcony at the Castillo Ursini, the rooms were very clean but for the "breakfast" we got just coffee/chocolate, milk and crackers (definatelly not enough for men), everything you have to prepare by yourself. Great location in the heart of Catania. The all building seems to be owned by the BB owners. Very nice view on the roof. The owners were very kind and gave us a lot of advices. Poor breakfast but free use of the kitchen. Power go off sometimes because of the airconditionning ... but owners advised and shpw us how to get it back. Great deal for the price. It was easy enough to find this place from the directions, but we didn't know how to get to the city center and just walked from the train station. Some bus info would have been nice; there are no central metros. After we checked-in we never saw the lady again. You really are left to yourself. The power surged twice but luckily some other guests knew what to do. The air conditioning is a god send. Don't stay anywhere without it. Great deal for the price. i highly recommend this b&b if you are in catania. i parked on the street and had no problems. the owner is THE man, giving great advice (completely in italian). i dont know where the pictures on the website came from bc it is not the place i stayed in (the structure is the same though). nonetheless, i liked my accomodation better, much more character! A wonderful place to stay! Staff are extremely helpful and friendly--ask them anything you need to know! Full kitchen and breakfast is provided. Room is HUGE and extremely clean and very secure. Perfect location right in the center of town! Natasha, from USA ~ 28th Mar 2009
