Barnacles Temple Bar House in Dublin, Ireland

Rooms were cramped. Toilet facilities were insufficient and dirty. Beds were not clean.

Hi Andrew, We are very sorry to hear you were unhappy with our facilities. I have checked your booking and you were in our spacious 11 bed dorm, I can honestly say we have never had complaints about this room being cramped. All facilities are cleaned regularly and beds changed for new guests. However if there was an issue with dirty facilities we have staff on 24 hours a day who would only be to happy to assist you with any issues you had. Had we realised you were unhappy we could have had the situation rectified. Should you visit Dublin again please let us know and we can make sure you have a better experience. It is in a GREAT location. Yes there is street noise at night, but if you are part of the noise .. who cares!! I would definitely recommend this place for people who are looking for fun. Patrick, from USA ~ 28th Sep 2009

The hostel was in such a great location. The staff were really helpful. My two friends and I stayed in an mixed ensuite. Nice to have the bathroom in the room. Showers got cold after one or two but to be expected with my friends and I all showering in a row. Temple bar was a blast to go out in, we had a great time. Only toast, tea, and coffee for breakfast, but the kitchen is nice and you can cook your own food. Lots of information and discounts for things to do in Dublin. Juliane, from USA ~ 25th Aug 2009

Clean but no character inside; looked very much like a modern hotel with no architectural details. Great location if you are a party all night type but if you want to sleep, stay outside of Temple Bar and walk into the area for the great pubs and live street music. Melissa, from USA ~ 30th Jun 2009
