Belfast International Youth Hostel in Prague, Northern Ireland

Hygiene needs to be improved, specially the batheooms and toilets.

The hostel was fully booked at the weekend when you were here - that means the showers and toilets almost in constant use. Apart from when they've just been cleaned, the state of them is always going to be dependent on who last used them I'm afraid.

I stayed in a 6bed female dorm, which on the whole, was very nice.My only suggestion would be to put some kind of shelves or something in the shower room so you can put your clothes or stuff on it.One hook is not really enough. Kelly, from Australia ~ 24th Sep 2011

Twin room has bunk beds and is very small. Causeway cafe is great, good food for a good price. Showers were not clean enough. Hostel is at good location, close to everything. Tour with McCombs (downstairs in hostel) to Giant's causeway was great, tourguide Alan funny, not expensive. Wish they would turn off engine while waiting for over an hour though, be energy efficient.

We have both standard twin rooms - and en-suite twin rooms - at the hostel. Room descriptions are very detailed on the booking site: "Our 'standard' rooms (including those listed 'twin private shared bathroom') have bunk beds. Standard twins are small (half the size of a standard 4) and designed for those seeking a budget room but some privacy, not extra space or comfort"

Rooms were clean, also showers and toilets, beds comfortable. Nice and big kitchen and dining area and good to have the cafe there! Staff wasn't very friendly or talkative (except the night staff) and very noisy due to a bar on the other site of the street... didn't get much sleep... But close to the city! Not far from downtown (or the bus station) but in the middle of a dead neighborhood. Got an ensuite that was roomy enough, though you can only use the lockers under the bed if you have a really thin lock. Another person checked into my room around 1 a.m. less than ideal if you're sleeping, but convenient if you have to do the same. Not a bad place to park for the night with the price. Power outlets in our room (306) did not work (and it was not due to the hair dryer or adapter as both worked in Dublin). But it was offered to borrow one: very good! :) Room was very noisy due to street and construction going on. Table/ chair and coat hooks in room would be nice as the space was limited! Staff was very friendly and willing to help! Food in canteen was good, lunch-to-go enough for the day. Good location in town, good to reach from bus center by foot.
