We have stayed in several hostels and this one was BY FAR the best.If you are ever in London, choose Clink78, we promise, you WONT be sorry!There are many showers each with individual locking doors, and there is always hot water no matter how long you shower.There are plenty of bathrooms.The free breakfast is big and delicious.The rooms are comfy and clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the whole place has a funky vibe.Pick this place! I had to put my laguage in the lagguage room and when I arrived in the evening, the stuff would have placed all bags in an other room without asking the owner of the bags. The result: A mass like I have not seen it before, many many stolen things amongs which was my beautifull jacket and angry guests, trying to get back their belongings. One of the worst places ever! I was given a room in the basement with no proper ventilation, for a second i thought i was heading to a prison cell! Rooms are dull and stinky... The security at the door will stop almost everyone to check if they have alcohol in their hand bags just to ensure the hostel sells alcohol in the CLOSED bar! Abed, from Lebanon ~ 30th Sep 2011

I have been in many hostels in my life but this one is by far the best. Not only does it have much character (it is a former prison) but everyhing else is just perfect and well thought out. Interesting theme. Convenient bar in the hostel's basement. The bathroom facilities were really clean, no odor... but the 12 person mixed dorm room smelled like a lockeroom (but that might have been due to the people staying in the room at the time)... David, from USA ~ 12th Aug 2011

Miserably crowded and noisy. Reasonably clean bathroom, but with poor ventilation so it smelled like mildew. The bed was worse than beds I've slept in at camp, and linens weren't in great shape. the bar is definitely a lot of fun and i met lots of people here. however, the bathrooms are like public restrooms and the showers are terrible, they clearly haven't put any money into that. i had lots of fun here but i don't think i would stay more than 2-3 days, largely because i just really wanted a proper shower by the end of it. ryan, from USA ~ 28th Jul 2011
