GREAT staff, very welcoming and helpful! I was staying in a private room and I have to say it was worth the price!! The dining room and kitchen were cleaned every day, it is something I rarely noticed in hostels. Definitely one of the best hostels I have stayed in, and I will recommend it! Cost around 200 euro for two nights for two people but it was around New Years. I met some of the best people at that hostel and i had a great time because of them. Staff was very nice and very informative. Room was small but just enough for two people. Nicholas, from USA ~ 6th Jan 2012

I have been three times in Eastener Hostel, first time in 2007.Now they have changed all the hostel, it looks like a new hostel.Perfect location, great manager and staff very helpful,lockers in the rooms,fast wifi,kitchen,perfect cleanliness.I have been in 35 countries.I don't know why, maybe it's about the character of the hostel and the city,but this is my favourite hostel in the world.Next year I will return, I will get less than 3 hours in Berlin Marathon !!! Very poor attitude from the staff, who is clearly bored and in need of councelling. Noisy and cramped, considering there are rooms for 8 people and only two showers. They charge for linen, per person, and is the first time I have come across such a bill (which isn't stated on the receipt). Location is good, Berlin is ace.
