2nd time here and just as before - comfortable rooms, no-one bothers you, and great location for the nightlife. Non-smoking a bummer (they really are strict about it - 100 euro fine if the alarm goes off in your room), but then we expected that. Great value, especially if you want to share a private room.

The room we stayed in (3-person) was very small and generally not very impressive, but served the purpose. The sheets were clean. It is a bit further away from social attractions (15-20 minute walk to where the action is), but perhaps thanks to that it was very quiet and felt safe. Very close to Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh's Museum.

Do not expect hotel facilities such as a change of towel or the bed being made. We wanted our towels changed and the staff was a bit pedantic; we had to pay but this was subsequently refunded by management with an apology.

The location is great, 5 minutes walk to the leidseplein. It´s okay for backpackers. If you go there by car you should park behind the heinecken brewery (3min) it´s cheaper there ( about 20 € for 24 h, this is cheap for amsterdam!!!). we had a lot of fun and I would go there again. Enjoy your trip...

The place is kinda weird. The guy at the front desk was very rude, but the girl was awesome. It wasn't a great experience at all and i wouldn't recommend it.
