I expected better-we were in an overflow apartment that was 10 min. walk away from the Goat Hostel. It was nice and quiet but no hostel ammenities unless we walked the 10 min. back. Next night we were in a room in the Goat Hostel but it was attached to the common room and shared a window with the common room. It was very noisy. It is too expensive for a poor experience.

Steve was very nice to meet. I really felt comfortable with him in charge. He is personable and helpful in directing you to where you want to go. The young lady who covered for him the following night was just as friendly. My four bunk mates were nice and unintrusive which was cool. Having free access to the internet was waaaaaay cool.

Nice hostel at a great location. Really clean, not crowded - breakfast included (but no parking though - you have to park on the street - an hour costs around 100 forints). Guys at the hostel were very friendly, got some advice about free parking later.

I've been traveling in Budapest for weekend on my own. So I decided to choose hostel for my accommodation.
Saying the truth, it was my first time in the hostel, so I do not have much experience to compare.
If you have never stayed in the hostel, then I would just say "manage your expectations" -
in such way of staying there are some disadvantages like shared bath room or noise in the middle of the night made by your unknown roommates, but if you are short of money or if you are traveling alo

Amazing. Go there. Probably the kindest and most helpful people I have ever met. Everything you could need or want from a hostel.
