Didn't feel like a hostel at all! Great location (close to Gion and Kiyomizudera Temple), very friendly and helpful staff, and EXTREMELY clean. Well worth it!! Would stay here again on my next visit to Kyoto :) Belinda, from Canada ~ 2nd Oct 2009

Wonderful place to stay! There was so much to do within walking distance of Gojo that we never used public transportation in the few days we were in Kyoto. The exceptionally good-looking staff was very helpful in showing us how to get anywhere we needed to go! Megan, from USA ~ 25th Sep 2009

Wish there were more restaurants and other things to do in the area (besides the million and one temples), but the hostel itself was very nice. The guy at the front desk was very helpful; hung out with him once or twice in the common room. Showers/toilet facilities nice and clean, heated toilet seats a plus. Bed was a little hard and most of the hostel was cold, but that was easily countered with tea, having the heater on high in the room, and an extra sweater. I was there for just one night but it was great. Our room was big and comfortable. The hostess was very nice and helpful. A great experience over all. They have the Kyoto bus pass and the directions on the website are perfect, it was very easy to find. I recommend this place to anyone who is going to Kyoto. Lourdes, from USA ~ 14th Jan 2009
