Right next to Kiyomizu temple, great location. Staff/owner spoke very good English and very friendly. Room is nice and located in quiet street. not much of food in the vicity, so have to go for little walk down the hill. You can sign up for all day bus in Kyoto for 500 yen, which is nice. I LOVED this place. It was quaint and FULL of character. It was right next to Kiyomizu with wonderful sights and natural beauty. This is definitely more low key, so it's not a place for more rowdy types. Everything from the location on a cute alley down a hill to the wonderful staff to the very traditional home made it feel extremely comfortable.
