I am very disappointed ! I slept on a bed which was in the middle of the room, it was very unconfortable and there was almost no left place to walk in the room. We were 8 in the room and had to share a bathroom stinking for moisture. Finally I had no key of the room because the reception had not enough key for all of us so I had to knock and disturb people when I wanted to go home ! That's not acceptable for an 20-30 euros/night hostel !

The staff were so rude. They made a mistake and double booked our room. While we were out during the day, the people that they put in our room were shown in, and the staff moved our stuff OFF of our beds(!) and told them that no one was sleeping there! Then when we came back, the couple explained what had happened, so we went downstairs to tell the front desk what had happened. The man at the front desk told me that they had not made a mistake, and when I told him that there were more people in

Sphinx is a nice, calm hostel, the breakfast was better than most places and the staff is very polite. We did not get our room the first night so we had to stay in a smaller one in the basement, but we got some discount on the price so that was totally OK for me. I can warmly recommend Sphinx hostel!

the only problem is that the stairs are very narrow. If you have big luggae think twice before booking, as it is pretty difficult to get up with luggage.

having one of our beds "broken" and replaced with a matress on the floor and still having to pay full price for it was less than ideal. the manager made no accomadations or refunds for it, but front desk staff was nice about it and attempted to do something for our inconvenience.
