My prive room was on the 6th fl. The shower was on the 1st and cost extra/use. The elevator only went to the 5th, so if you have luggage ask for a lower floor. The matress was concave. The sheets and towels were stained. The location is close to the metro, but is central to the red light district which was a little sketchy. When I showed up they tried to tell me my reservation was canceled, and sent someone else away to house me. I went to January in Africa, and my conditions were better there.

Friendly staff and a decent location just a couple blocks from the metro, although it is a bit of a sketchy district. Breakfast was great even though the dining area was tiny and our room was clean although it did have a bit of a funny smell.

We always stay at the Andre Gill when we come to Paris. It is delightful, family run and full of character. The rooms are basic, but their clenliness and the hotel's location at the foot of Montmartre more then make up. The owners, the Loumis family are charming. The lower floors are full of young backpackers and the hotel is an excellent hub for swapping ideas and travel tips. Oldies like us should ask for a room on the quiet 4th or 5th floors. Be aware that all local u/g garage parking is

When flushing the toilet, the waste water flew out through the shower's floor: very disgusting!
Even worse, there was a leak in the ceiling (without any rain), and we never knew where this 'water' was coming from. Maybe from the toilet of the room above us?
The rest was ok.

It has been the worse experience staying at this place, the location is terrible, the bathroom was broken, the staff blows my mind; the only polite person was the lady who served the breakfast. I will never ever recommend this place to anybody

The balcony over the street did not make up for the uncomfortable sagging mattress.

enjoyed our stay because we met good people. some staff members were unhelpful. hostel in a really good location- dont get put off by your first impressions of the main street down the road its not that bad. directions to hostel not very accurate. the hostel is a off a little lane way. rooms are small, bathrooms are great. having no kitchen is really bad if you are on a budget, and you are not allowed to eat in your room either. really good location would stay there again.

No TV. For that price a nice thing. Directly against the Red Mile.... Metro 2 Minutes to go. You are in 6 Minitues on all places you want...

I had a family emergency and called to cancel my two nights the day before and the staff member informed me they required 48 hours notice and charged me the full rate anyways.... thanks for the sympathy, i hope that everyone who works there is awarded the same courtesy under extenuating circumstances.
