Great little place, friendly staff and great price. Its a quick 10-15 mins walk to downtown Sorrento. The room was a little cold as it was exceptionally cold weather when I was there but there are extra blankets to use Andreas, from Denmark ~ 8th Feb 2012

An amazing place. The 4 course meal was brilliant and it felt like we were eating with the family. Thoroughly recommend this hostel! Leigh, from Australia ~ 29th Nov 2011

Nice place indeed. Clean. Informal atmosphere centered around great Italian family. 4 course meals served every night for EURO 18 are very popular with guests and a good way to socialize. The hostel arranges boat trips to Capri and elsewhere with a discount. Guest reviews of this are good. Near beach (200 m), nice bar area and inexpensive eating places. Mami Camilla is nearer to Sorrento Center than the 7 Hostel. Would go back for sure. Michael, from Denmark ~ 26th Sep 2011

we can't say enough good things about mami Camilla. The staff who work here go above and beyond for you. They are always asking what they can do to help you and take care of you better. I highly recommed their 4 course meal and the boat tour to Capri was probably the best one that we saw. We really liked the feeling of this place so much that we ended up staying extra days. The staff was fantastic and made us feel like part of the family. We were moved to an off-site location because they were full at the main house, but our new room was clean and air conditioned. It was in a different area of town, but the family offered a free shuttle and Laura even gave us a ride in her car to get us to where we needed to be. The only problem was that we were told that breakfast was not included whereas we included it in our booking. They allowed us to eat for free, however, and William, from USA ~ 24th Aug 2011

The place itself is nice although we had two problems. The First was that it said in the description that there is parking available, but you have to park on the street and this costs. The second problem was that we shared a dorm room with freaky americans who insisted on having the ac on all night, and because my bed was directly under the ac this was kind of a problem. But the staff was really friendly and helpful and the breakfast was really nice! Katharina, from Germany ~ 17th Aug 2011

Really great place to stay, good location. Would have been good to have a fridge for guests to use if not a kitchen. Wasn't given a key for my room, but the other guests always left the door unlocked anyway, felt pretty secure regardless of this, had a locker for my valuables. The staff really goes out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. We were in a dorm room the first night. It is next to the dining room so it can be noisy.the second night we were in a regular room which was awesome. We did one evening of the cooking class which was fun, if not overly informative/hands-on. The location is away from the main town. They painted the door green so don't look for a blue door like in the directions.Hard to find because of street numbering system Eric, from USA ~ 27th Apr 2011
