This hotel is located on the Lido island, just 20min off San Marco (line 1), stayed 3 nights, was very nice, walls are very thin thought! Staff is very nice, security is good, very nice place to stroll around, many shops and restaurants, ask for a room not facing the street (gets noisy at night especially in the summertime). Otherwise, good hotel, not excellent comfort but ideal if you just want a place to stay. Definetely recommend this hotel. Marcos, from Cyprus ~ 21st Jan 2012

Good place to stay, you have to leave you key at the front desk when you leave for the day, that was a bit weird.It is on Lido which is a very nice island with a beach. I couldn't get the wifi to work and ended up ust paying for venice wifi for 8 euros. Liam, from Canada ~ 22nd Oct 2011

Reiter Hotel is very plain hotel.Lido island is very nice, and not as busy as Venice.Hotel was safe, but security is a little different there than in Canada.We came back to our room one night to find the door wide open with the staff keys in the lock.The answer we were given was that the cleaning lady was called away during her shift.Thankfully nothing was missing, but it left us feeling strange.Minus that strange occurrence, we enjoyed out stay. The hotel is on an island Lido and its very easy and quite cheap to get to Venice, plus the waterbuses provide a great scenic view. The hotel staff had not made note of our reservation and so provided us with a 4bedroom room up on the 4th floor - only disadvantage is that there are no lifts. Lido has a great beach and the atmosphere throughout the day/night is great too! It is also much cheaper to eat at Lido than on Venice and the views are just as amazing! Location is not in Vennice,it is on the Lido iland.You have to take the boat to Vennice.But it is not a long distance,it will take you around half a hour.It is not a hostel,so you can't cook food there.If you want to have breakfast there,you have to pay 5 euro per person.The view in Lido is more beautiful and there is a natural beach near the hotel.I think it is a good place to have holidays there. chunyan, from China ~ 29th Apr 2011
