You get what you pay for. However, there´s a fee of about $ 3,50 per night I didn't know about (in addition to the tax). Bring earplugs if your neighbours don't have the the good sense to speak quietly, you can hear exactly what they're saying. I did see a few bugs in the bathrooms, but other than that they were fine.

The location is good but you can hear every tv or person walking down the hall. There was also a lot of cockroaches and other bugs.

The prices are really cheap, so you know it cannot be very good. The rooms are tiny, but you don't need more if you are away for the whole day. The problem is the cleanliness, really poor. We found several small beatles in the shared bathrooms, and the sheets and towels were not clean either, there were hairs and weird stains on them!
So, if you want a cheap and well located place, this one is ok, but don´t expect more!!

NOTE: this review is about this company's other property World Hostel, across the street. There was some sort of unknown problem with my online booking for Sun Bright Hotel, so they gave us the equivalent (double private room) at the World.
the location was great, close to subways and sites, but I didn't feel comfortable there. We only returned to sleep when we were absolutely exhausted!
I will not be a repeat customer!

The stay was exactly as was described, and what we expected. We got a comfortable bed, a sink, and a window. The toilets and showers were regularly cleaned, and you could have a nice hot shower.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Great location for both China Town and Little Italy, and the subways aren't too far.
If we do get a chance to go back to New York, we would stay again.

There is no longer a kitchen, which was a major drawback as we had brought some supplies. Otherwise, great spot for the money.

Basically the hotel was fine, price was fair and well located between chinatown and little italy; we stayed in the lobby's floor and it had three very clean bathrooms, the only bad thing was the cockroaches in the room.
