Staff was very friendly. The place has a good location (metro, Acropolis), is clean and inexpensive. Definitely a place to stay while in Athens. marek, from Poland ~ 23rd Sep 2011

Although this hostel is not in the best part of town and has a small unlit patio and a bar with no ambiance, the staff we met were fantastic and very nice and helpful. We also met great people. It is VERY close to the metro and very convient just don't go out at night.Very clean as well. you get what you pay for... booked a 3 bed ensuite room. it was actually a double bed and a single. the carpet was old and filthy, the walls were dirty, the sheets... i laid on my own cuz i didn't want to put my face on theirs. the bathroom gave me the shivers, just dank & mildewy & gross. the shower water got everywhere, not pleasant. the staff were very friendly and helpful. the wifi worked.but it just doesn't make up for the condition of the place. i foundour room was really run down and i Irene, from USA ~ 25th Aug 2011

You get what you pay for! The location is right on the central street and about a half an hour straight walk from the acropolis, but as a girl, I was a bit too scared to go out at night there. Basically, Athens is wonderful, but at the moment, Id recommend choosing a different place. Daria, from USA ~ 15th Jun 2011

very nice & friendly place, quiet, near from the heart of the city. You can easilly eat and drink all around the Victoria Square whenever you want. The room was cleaned every day. Inconvenients : the metro station Victoria was closed, you have to walk from Larissa or Omonia to come There was no breakfast! (breakfast was included) christelle, from France ~ 19th Jun 2011

The metro station right next to the hotel was closed when I was there, making transportation just a little more difficult. A great value for the money, it wasn't fancy but was perfectly adequate. Great for travelers on a budget! Lyndsey, from USA ~ 2nd May 2011

With a fantastic staff, while Zorbas Hotel isn't some gleaming international spectacle of a hostel it has all the charm and character of a true European hostel at a great price in a great location with easy access to both historical monuments and bus lines (though I recommend cabs for short transit hops through Athens based on experience with other public transportation). You will have fun in their bar, and really what more can you ask for? Rowan, from USA ~ 2nd May 2011

the staff was great and the free internet was nice but unfortunately that's the only good thing I have to say. There are no hot water to shower. No food or drink allowed in the hostel. Our room was freezing and when we turned on the heater the room had this horrible musky smell. We used the washer and hung our clothes in our room to dry. It took 3 days to dry and smelled like that musky room. Not good. OOOO and the metro that they are close to is shut down. sophie, from Canada ~ 23rd Apr 2011
