Hostel Lao was fanstastic. It was easily the best hostel we have stayed at in South America thus far.

the BEST hostel!!! very comfortable, its like being at home! the first night we were there they had a bbq and made the most delicious meat and they give wine for free from 8 to 10pm. i didnt like the bathrooms so much -- they didnt seem super clean but they were ok. also, the towels werent great either -- if you can bring your own towel. Overall though, it was a great place to stay, i wouldnt have rather stayed anywhere else.

Great staff and character hostel! I would definitly stay in the same place if I went back to Mendoza. Loved the dogs: Astor and Bambina!
