The couple running Bola bola is very helpful. They provide useful maps of the area as well as the explenantion where to go best. I very much liket the house as you could feel the female touch, with some small nice details like flowers, bells by the keys. I very much recommend this place. It's a bit far from the very city centre but if you rent a bike, which you can do there as well, you can easily access the northern part with Golden pavillon and other attractions.

We had such a wonderful time at Bola Bola that we decided to stay an extra night! The owners are extremely hospitable and kind, and the place is loaded with character. We chatted with a lot of other travelers who loved the place, too. This is more of a guest house than a hostel, so if you're looking for a place to party, this isn't it. If you're looking for a quaint little Japanese-style inn, though, this is the one. The only downside is that it's a little bit tough to find...but the staff
