although the bedrooms are pretty small, and an extra bathroom would be welcome, this is a fine place for a quick visit in singapore. The owners, Mr Yip and his wife are really lovely and will look after you.

The location was excellent, right at the edge of Chinatown. It was a 30 second walk to the nearest food centre, where you could have a good meal for only a few dollars. The locker and key requires a deposit (that you get back later) of 10 dollars, which I wasn't aware of before arriving there. So just make sure you'll have that little extra bit. It was the smallest hostel i ever stayed in. Andrew and his wife are so friendly they even shared their dinner with me. Excellent location. Would stay there again.

When we arrived at service world hostel we were quite surprised because it's not really a hostel in the general sense of the word. It's a small two room apartment, one for the family and one for the guests- 12 fit in the room. Andrew and his wife are very welcoming and toast and tea/coffee is provided in the morning. Location is pretty good, right in China town and 2 mins from an MRT stop. It's also 2 mins from a hippo bus stop which is the open air bus tour around Singapore which is pretty hand
