Great hostel, very comfortable and clean. There wasn't a whole lot going on like in other hostels I have stayed in but Montevideo is a bit more obscure than say, Buenos Aires! The staff were friendly and helpful and I had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay here!

It is a very nice hostel and the staff were really friendly. No heating in the room in winter time was the negative part, however the facilities are beautiful and there is a very nice bar and deck. They even organized an Asado (BBQ) for the guests.

Red Hostel Montevideo is a beautiful place, it's conveniently located and a gorgeous building, lovingly restored, has great onda. They have nice big common areas, I loved the roof bar at night, and really enjoyed the asado dinner on Friday night and hung out afterwards meeting other visitors and having drinks in the moonlight. On the other hand, we found the staff very nice and friendly but totally disorganized. We'd reserved a beautiful private room with a double bed, but when we arrived they
