Aussie Hostel in Cairo, Egypt

IT WAS A GREAT PLEASURE TO STAY IN THE AUSSIE HOSTEL, FIRST OF ALL ALL THE BEDS ARE SINGLE BEDS AND COMFORTABLE, SECONDLY THERE IS BREAKFAST INCLUDED, HOT SHOWERS AND TV ROOM, AND LIFT THAT WORKS, THE LOCATION IS GREAT FOR BOTH RAMSESUS SQUARE AND TAHRIR SQUARE AND MUSEUEM, PLENTY OF CAFES AND FOOD OUTLEST AROUND, BUT MOST OF ALL THE GUYS AT RECEPTION ARE EASY GOING AND LAID BACK GUYS AND VERY HELPFUL, GREAT PLACE AND GREAT STAFF, I SHALL HOPEFULLY BE BACK James, from Ireland ~ 13th Jan 2013

'+': Good location, 25EGP incl. breakfast is a good value, shower with 24h hot water. '-': Numerous mosquitoes. Staff... I should say friendly... but don't know why they gave me false prices for taxi and other stuff every time I asked... For the prices they tell you, you may be able to pay half of that...

Thank you Xiaomei Yu for your review which we respect and will take it advantage to improve our standard of services; however I disagree with you with regarding the staff, as we didn't give you false prices at all, but we were giving you the average price of the taxi to the places you mentioned.. You didn't ask us for any help but information, and for me personally when we chatted about your airport transfer just one day before you leave the hostel i can remember that you were asking about the cost of a taxi to the airport and i told that if we are going to arrange for your taxi that would 75EGP, if you are going to just take a taxi from the street that would be with a meter and it's changeable from time to another as it depends on the time taking for the lift and sometimes it get jammed everywhere, but the average cost of a taxi is about 30EGP, but sometimes taxi drivers don't use the meter and they charge you whatever they wish to have and you I told you if that happens just give him 20 pounds and just go away, and finally you decided to take the bus and i was helpful till the end as I think and gave you the number of the bus and the directions as well as where you can catch it. We didn't give you any other prices for any other stuff because simply you didn't ask for any. We respect the privacy and we never over price the services because if we do so we would charge you for the free internet as an example at least .. You should say you paid 25EGP including breakfast and Free WiFi all over the hostel.
