Ming\'s Dynasty Hostel is found in the historical city of Chengde, the perfect place for a retreat away from big city life, as Qing dynasty emperors discovered over 200 years ago!
Ming\'s Dynasty is Chengde\'s first hostel. It\'s located several minutes walk from the main train station, near Wulie River. Ming\'s Dynasty has recently relocated and is working together with Huilong, a 3 star hotel. Now you can enjoy the convenience of a hostel with the luxury of a hotel!
All hostel rooms include air-conditioning, TV, internet access, and ensuite bathroom. There is also a bar & restaurant on-site where guests can relax, swap books, and enjoy a drink while meeting new friends.
Visiting Chengde\'s UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Summer Mountain Resort and Eight Outer Temples, can easily be done by bus or taxi. Information is provided for free at hostel check-in.
**Winter (Nov-March) guests please note: We will not have 24 hour reception during winter. Please let us know if you need to check-in or out between 11pm and 7am. We will be closed Jan 22-28, 2012 for Chinese New Year. Please be aware that shared bathrooms are located across the courtyard and you have to walk outside to access them.

The hostel is in walking distance to the railway station (approx. 5min) and is located in a 3-Star-Hotel, so the rooms and the building have a good standard. Only problem are the mildew infested rooms. Ming, the owner of the hostel, is friendly and helped us with everything. He even planned at night a trip to Jinshanling Great Wall for the next morning and woke up for our convenience. There is also a night club in the Hostel owned by Ming and there are vouches. The hostel is located in a hotel which makes it very luxurious for a hostel. Good value for money I would say. It is located pretty close to the trainstation and the only \'negative\' thing is the trains honking to each other all day and night.
