Overlooking Edinburgh's Holyrood Park, this refurbished 3-star bed and breakfast is 20 minutes' walk from the historic Royal Mile and Old Town.
All of the modern and comfortable rooms include a private en suite bathroom, complimentary internet access, TV and DVD player, and tea/coffee-making facilities. On each floor of Masson House there is a communal area with a toaster, microwave and fridge.
Located in the private, landscaped grounds of Pollock Halls, Masson House provides limited free parking and 24-hour reception for guests.
Full Scottish breakfasts are served daily. Light continental options, fresh fruit and vegetarian breakfasts are also available

The hotel is a little hard to explain how to get to the first time for someone new to the area. The easiest way is to simply bith the bullet and hand over 20-25 pounds for a taxi. After you are there, talk to the Front Desk about the Lothian bus day pass and schedule (3.5 pounds per day at this time) and you never have problems again. Other than first finding the Hotel, it is a top-notch student-run hotel with security as their main priority, very closely followed by cleanliness. Howard, from USA ~ 8th May 2013
