Rosebank Backpackers is situated within walking distance of the Rosebank Gautrain train Station that links to Sandton City and OR Tambo Airport.
This is the ultimate area to stay in for all people coming to Johannesburg, this is if you want to have an experience that reflects the cosmopolitan, multicultural ethos of Johannesburg.
It offers you the opportunity of visiting normal and alternative shopping complexes that host a myriad of different kinds of entertainment this includes the famous Rosebank Craft market open on weekends and open daily the Tourist Center, African Curio Market, the art Nevoux Theatre, Cinemas, Art & Culture Galleries.
Rosebank Backpacker is our latest creation to become Part of The Lodge & Backpacker Johannesburg Group.
We have had the pleasure of servicing our travelers for more than 9 yrs.
Our super friendly staff will support you and make sure you are secure and safe 24 hours a day.
Rosebank is a very old suburb the ancient flora makes you feel welcome and chilled, spend time on our Patio looking over our Garden with it\'s 100 + year old trees, enjoying late afternoons there, where you can join other travelers for a drink by the pool or maybe you can braai(BBQ) something to eat, you will find a Tour and Travel desk to an Outdoor Terrace to soak up the rays. Novels can be exchanged, a communal kitchen is open to all, Telephone, fax, WIFI and internet access will allow guests to hook up on line.
Our laundry facilities are on hand - for all those folk who have just come off of safari.
Rooms/dorms are clean, fresh linen is provided, all beds have plush duvets for added warmth.

Well situated, a 15 minute walk from the Gautrain station. Staff was very friendly. But the facilities listed are not true: no free breakfast and very expensive internet access. 2 bed dorms don't exist (although we reached a solution). Only one shower to be shared among all the dorms (or so I was told by the staff). Finally, dirty place. After having checked out, I returned to my room (where I was told to store my things) only to discover the cleaning lady straightening the alread used bedsheets Ramon, from Spain ~ 11th Apr 2013
