Fithostel in Keflavik, Iceland

Fit is located in a street called Fitjabraut and lies parallel to the mainstreet of Njar�v�k, Njararbraut. The hostel/guesthouse offers sleeping bag and made up beds accomodation in 29 rooms. The rooms are without bathrooms but they are available on all floors.

Both houses offer cooking facilities, living rooms, TVs, showers, internet access, washing facilities and a hot tub.
Please note that non-members of YHA must pay600ISK per person per night upon arrival. you can rent bed linen for 1000 ISK.

Local recreation
The area of Reykjanes has many recreational options for people of all ages.
Hiking around the area is a good way to enjoy the nature as well as finding more about Icelandic culture on many historical sites.

Here in Reykanes we have two outdoor swimming pools with warm water, the famous Blue Lagoon, exellent area at Garskagi for birdwathing, hot springs, bridge across continents, two companies that offer whale wathing and sea angling. Golf course, gokart and museums.

Njar�v�k
The three towns of Njar�v�k, Keflav�k and Hafnir were joined together in the municipality of Reykjanesb�r in the year 1994. These towns were built up around the fish industry but today has mostly been replaced by tourist related and service jobs.

Iceland is forming on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge (since volcanoes in Iceland are still active).
Landscape in the area of Reykjanes is distinguishable by volcanic activity in the forms of mountains maid of palagonite that were formed under ice or water and many layers of lava.

We are only 5 minutes away from the airport, 15 min. from the Blue Lagoon and 45 min. from Reykjavik.

You can cancel your booking until 12:00 on your arrival day. In case you, for some reason, don't cancel and don't show up, then we will charge for the night on next morning.

For 2012 the reception opens between 9am and 4am between June and August.10am and 24pmbetween September and April Please note that non-members of YHA must pay 600 ISK extra per person per night upon arrival. the amount can be change slightly if the price changes.
